The business traces back to 1853 when Joseph Ballinger emigrated from England to Melbourne. Joseph set up business in Wellington as a plumber in the early 1860's.
The company was first incorporated by Joseph's son in 1893 as Thomas Ballinger & Co Limited. This company provided plumbing services and manufactured plumbing products. Since the 1990s we have concentrated on commercial property investment.
